Resolution Steps for Errors while Connecting Number
While going through the process of connecting a number for your WhatsApp API account, you might face different errors. Meta has provided a list of such errors here with potential solution steps. For some of the most frequently occurring errors, we have listed below more detailed solution steps:
1. You have already linked the maximum number of phone numbers allowed for this Business Account. Delete a phone number to continue or request additional numbers.
OR
This WhatsApp business account does not have permission to add phone numbers to the account
2. We can’t verify the Meta business account that you selected. Go back to the previous screen to select a different account, or go to Meta Business Manager for support.
OR
Phone Number has been blocked. Please check alert prompt in WhatsApp Manager Overview or follow instructions in Account Quality
3. GraphQL server responded with error %s: %s %s
4. An error occured while processing this request. Please try again later
5. You don’t have permission to create WhatsApp business accounts
6. Please retry in some time or contact support to get issue fixed
7. OTP not being received
8. You can only create a limited number of WhatsApp Business Accounts before your business and WhatsApp account verification is complete. You can create additional accounts after you are verified.
9. You’re no longer allowed to use Facebook Products to advertise. You can’t run ads, manage advertising assets or create new ad or business accounts.
10. No data returned for operation ‘useUpdateMetaBusinessAccountMutation_MetaBusinessAccountMutation’, got error(s): (No errors) See the error ‘source’ property for more information.
11. Your payment account is disabled. Contact the financial admin for this account or submit an appeal.
1. You have already linked the maximum number of phone numbers allowed for this Business Account. Delete a phone number to continue or request additional numbers.
or
This WhatsApp business account does not have permission to add phone numbers to the account
This means that you might have already connected the maximum allowed limit* of WhatsApp API numbers.
*If your Facebook business is unverified, you can at max connect 2 WhatsApp API numbers (across 1 or 2 WhatsApp Business Accounts ie WABAs). If your Facebook business is verified, you can at max connect 25 WhatsApp API numbers (across multiple WABAs).
To connect more numbers, you will have to delete some of the existing numbers.
To delete any of the existing numbers:
– Go to business.facebook.com/settings and log in with your Facebook login credentials. You will see a dashboard like the one below.
– Next, click WhatsApp accounts in the left panel. You will see something like this:
(If you don’t see any WhatsApp account here, check whether you are logged into the same Facebook Business where you had created your WhatsApp Business API account.)
– Next, click Settings in the right panel. You will see something like this:
– Next, click WhatsApp Manager at the bottom. In the page that opens, click ‘Phone Numbers’ in the left panel.
– In the Phone Numbers page, you will find the phone numbers already connected to your WhatsApp Business Account. You can delete any of the phone numbers by clicking on the Delete icon.
2. We can’t verify the Meta business account that you selected. Go back to the previous screen to select a different account, or go to Meta Business Manager for support.
Or
Phone Number has been blocked. Please check alert prompt in WhatsApp Manager Overview or follow instructions in Account Quality
This error is seen most often if your Facebook Business account has been restricted, or, if your WhatsApp business account (WABA) has been disabled. You can check whether your Facebook Business account has been restricted or not, or whether your WABA has been disabled or not, in the following way:
– Go to https://business.facebook.com/settings and log into your Facebook Account. Go to the Facebook Business that contains your WhatsApp Business API Account.
– Under Business Settings, go to ‘Business Support Home’ from the left navigation panel, as shown below.
– In the Business Support Home, you can check for any restrictions / disablements in the Ad Accounts and WhatsApp Accounts sections as shown below:
If you find any restriction on your Facebook Business account:
– You will find a ‘Request Review’ button on the top right
– Click on it and provide your Aadhar card image
– Your account should get unrestricted within 24-48 hours
If you find that your WhatsApp Business Account has been disabled:
– You might need to add more details in the website / FB page whose URL you provided while creating your Facebook Business account:
– Go to https://business.facebook.com/settings/info and check the URL given for Website
– If you provided a FB Page URL, you need to ensure that your FB page contains all the below:
1. Page Name (should be your business name)
2. Page Category
3. Page Bio
4. Business Phone Number
5. Business Email Address
6. Business physical address
7. Working hours
8. Profile pic
– If you provide a Website URL, you need to ensure that your business name is prominently displayed in your website
– After ensuring the above, in Business Support Home, click on the WhatsApp account which has been disabled.
In the page that opens, you will find a Request Review button.
Click on the Request Review button. Provide a short writeup consisting of:
1. A summary of what your business deals in
2. A link to your business website or/ Facebook Profile Page
3. Any other reason why you think your account was not violating the WhatsApp policy
After your FB business has been unrestricted, or, your WABA disablement has been revoked, you can then resume the number connection process, and you shouldn’t see the above error.
3. GraphQL server responded with error %s: %s %s
This error is generally seen if you are trying to create a Facebook business account within a few minutes of creating a Facebook account. Please wait for at least 1-2 hours before creating the Facebook business account.
4. An error occurred while processing this request. Please try again later
Try opening your Interakt account in Incognito browser and then, do the number connection process within that browser.
If the error still shows, then check whether your Facebook Business has been restricted, or, whether your WABA has been disabled. To understand how to check that, and how to get the restriction/disablement lifted, check the steps for the 2nd error above.
5. You don’t have permission to create WhatsApp business accounts
For some reason, Meta might have blocked your Facebook Business from creating more WhatsApp business accounts.
This could have happened due to some restrictions on your Facebook Business account. The details for how to check for such a restriction & how to get such a restriction lifted are given in the steps for the 2nd error above
If there are no restrictions found in your Facebook Business, then you are left with only the following 2 options:
If there are other WhatsApp Business Accounts in your Facebook business, select those & continue with number connection
Or, else try doing the number connection in a different Facebook business altogether
6. Please retry in some time or contact support to get issue fixed
On seeing this error, you can do the following:
Check whether your Facebook Business has been restricted, or whether the WhatsApp business account (WABA) has been disabled. Details on how to check and how to get the restriction / disablement lifted are given in the solutions steps for the 2nd error (at the top).
If it turns out that the business isn’t restricted / WABA isn’t disabled, wait for a day and try doing the number connection process again. The error should hopefully not come again.
If it still comes, try connecting the number in a different Facebook Business.
7. OTP not being received
Try changing the mode of OTP delivery (if you selected SMS, try selecting phone call, or vice versa).
If it still doesn’t work, try doing the number connection process again after few hours.
If it still doesn’t come, reach out to your Tally Partner or Tally Customer Support for help. They will try raising a ticket with Meta to solve the OTP issue.
8. You can only create a limited number of WhatsApp Business Accounts before your business and WhatsApp account verification is complete. You can create additional accounts after you are verified.
As explained in the error, you might have already created the maximum number of permissible WhatsApp Business accounts (WABAs) in your Facebook Business.
You can either delete any of the existing WABAs to be able to create another WABA. Or you can get your Facebook Business verified so that the limit of allowed WABAs gets increased.
For deleting WABAs:
– Go to business.facebook.com/settings and log in with your Facebook login credentials.
– Next, click WhatsApp accounts in the left panel.
– Select the WhatsApp account that you would want to remove.
– Click ‘Remove’ on the top right.
9. You’re no longer allowed to use Facebook Products to advertise. You can’t run ads, manage advertising assets or create new ad or business accounts.
This error might show up when you are trying to create a new Facebook Business. If you face this error it means that, due to previous suspicious behaviour, Meta has debarred your Facebook account from creating a Facebook Business within it.
Our suggestion would be to try creating the Facebook Business within some other active Facebook account.
Or, if you don’t have another Facebook account, you can raise a support ticket with Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/business/help/support) to allow creation of a Facebook Business in your account.
10. No data returned for operation ‘useUpdateMetaBusinessAccountMutation_MetaBusinessAccountMutation’, got error(s): (No errors) See the error ‘source’ property for more information.
This error might show up when you are trying to create a new Facebook Business.
Whenever you face this error,
– check whether the Website / FB Page URL (given while creating the Facebook Business) is not broken i.e. the Website / FB Page should open.
– Also, make sure that the business name that you gave, is not the same name as any of your other Facebook Businesses.
– Also, ensure that the first letter of each word in the business name should be in uppercase.
If the above are taken care of, and the error still shows, then, retry the process after a gap of a few hours.
If this error still shows up, please reach out to Tally Customer Support.
11. Your payment account is disabled. Contact the financial admin for this account or submit an appeal.
If you see this error, it means that some dues might be pending in one of your ad accounts with Meta. You can go to business.facebook.com/business-support-home and check for the ad account which might have an outstanding balance, and then pay the dues for that ad account.
